Objective To investigate the value of double-ballon endoscopy and CT enterograhy for the diagnosis of small bowel Crohn"s disease. Methods Data of 125 patients with suspected CD undergoing double-balloon endoscopy and CT enterograhy were reviewed．Diagnosis was made based on pathological,endoscopic findings and clinic follow-up results. Detection rates and diagnosis rates of small bowel CD were compared by double-balloon enteroscopy and CT enterography．The diagnostic value of double-balloon enteroscopy combined with CT enterography for small bowel CD was analyzed. Results The detection and diagnosis rates of small bowel CD by double-balloon endoscopy were 62.4％(78／125)and 94.8％(74／78)．These two variables by CT enterography were 44.8％(56／125)and 89．3％(50／56)．Both the detection rate and the diagnosis rate of small bowel CD by double-balloon endoscopy were higher than that by CT enterography. Conclusion Double-balloon enteroscopy is an ideal method for the diagnosis of small bowel CD. CT enterography can guide the selection of endoscopic approach, reduce economic expenditure and alleviate patient pain. Double balloon enteroscopy combined with CT enterography has high application value for the diagnosis of small bowel CD．
