Abstract:Objective To investigate the advantages of multidirectional stopcock injection needle on the incidence of needle plugging, the duration of injection, injection effect and postoperative complications, et al. in the varicosis of the gasric fundus veins therapy. Methods From October 2016 to June 2017, a total of 75 patients with portal hypertension complicated with varicose gastric varices were treated in our hospital. And 104 cases of gastric fundus embolism were randomly divided into experimental group and control group. The experimental group used multidirectional stopcock between syringe and injection needle, while the control group used traditional syringe to connect injection needle. The duration of injection, the effect of the injection, and the complications after injection were observed and compared between the two groups. Results (1)The duration time of injection was 4.173±0.392s in the experimental group, which was significantly shorter than that in the control group 6.592±0.715 s(P<0.001), (2) The injection effect comparison: 52 cases were all smooth in the experimental group; while in the control group, 44 caseswere unobstructed, 5 cases were partial obstruction and 3 cases were completely blocked (P=0.006); (3) The complications after injection: 51 cases without bleeding and 1 cases of blood infiltration in the experimental group; and 50 cases no bleeding, 2 cases bleeding in the control group. (P =0.467). There was no statistical difference. (4)There was no complication after operation in both groups. Conclusions multidirectional stopcock between injector and injection needle can shorten the time of injection and reduce the blocking rate of injection needle. It is safe and deserves to be popularized in clinical practice.
