Abstract:Objective:The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the SpyGlass Endoscopic Vision System (SpyGlass) combined with laser lithotripsy on the treatment of giant common bile duct stones(diameter >2cm). Methods: Patients with giant CBD stones who were treated by SpyGlass combined with laser lithotripsy were collected in our hospital during the period of 2012.9-2017.8, then the success rate of stone removal and complication were analyzed. Results: Fifty eligible patients with giant bile duct stones were treated by SpyGlass combined with laser lithotripsy.Among them, 7 patients had single large stones, 8 patients had multiple large stones, the success rate of stone removal with one ERCP was 73.3%(11/15), and the success rate of stone removal with second ERCP was 26.7%(4/15), total rate of stone removal was 100%. No bleeding, infection, perforation and other complications occurred, the complication rate was 0% (0/15). Conclusion: SpyGlass combined with laser lithotripsy was effective and safe on the treatment of giant CBD stones and worth popularizing and applying. .
