Abstract:Collected and analyzed the clinical data of 1 patient with Kaposi"s sarcoma. A 49-year-old male came to the outpatient department presented with irregularly epigastric pain and weight loss for 3 months. It revealed multiply ridgy lesions from the upper part of gastric body to the antrum undergone upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. Back to his medical history, one year and a half prior to the current presentation, he was diagnosed membranous nephropathy (stage II) and was started on immunosuppressive therapy including tacrolimus and irregular taking prednisolone. Biopsy taken of suspicious gastric mass revealed findings consistent with Kaposi sarcoma. After local radiotherapy of gastric for 8 times, his epigastric pain slightly relieved. Unfortunately, he gave up treatment because of coma. Kaposi"s sarcoma with digestive tract symptoms as the manifestation is rare. This case reminds clinicians to be alert to Kaposi"s sarcoma in patients with the history of use of immunosuppressive agents if there are digestive tract masses.
