Abstract:Colorectal laterally spreading tumor (LST) is a colorectal tumor with a special shape and is considered to be a precancerous lesion of colorectal cancer. Early treatment is the most effective way to prevent cancer. Compared with traditional surgical treatment, endoscopic resection has many advantages such as less trauma and faster recovery, and has been widely recognized and concerned by scholars at home and abroad. With the rapid development of digestive endoscopy technology, the detection rate of LST is not only getting higher and higher, but also the means of endoscopic treatment are constantly being developed and updated. However, further research is needed to select the specific surgical method to maximize the therapeutic effect of patients. This article reviews the latest research progress of endoscopic treatment of LST.
