In the past, the treatment goals of ulcerative colitis were limited to clinical remission and endoscopic remission. In recent years, histological remission has become the ultimate goal of its treatment. Therefore, in the course of diagnosis and treatment, the correlation between endoscopic observations and histological observations is particularly important. The linked color imaging mode of blue laser endoscopy enhances the color contrast between the diseased mucosa and normal mucosa, which brings more possibilities for the precise diagnosis and treatment of ulcerative colitis. This article will review the research progress of linked color imaging technology in the diagnosis and treatment of UC.
