Currently there is a lack of effective treatment options for the main pancreatic duct IPMN(MD-IPMN) and mixed-IPMN (MT-IPMN) patients that cannot tolerate or refuse surgical resections. This article reports a case of MT-IPMN patient with recurrent pancreatitis that was previously undiagnosed until peroral pancreatoscopy observation and biopsy. Several times of intraductal radiofrequency ablation treatment were performed. After 20 months of follow-up, no pancreatitis occurred and no sign of progress. The peroral pancreatoscopy and radiofrequency ablation as palliative endoscopic treatment for IPMN shows huge potential.
