Research on Domestic Pig Model for ERCP Simulation Training Abstract: Objective: This study used the domestic pig whose anatomical structure is similar to that of the human body to implement the ERCP simulation training.Methods: 40 clinicians who were proficient in operating gastrointestinal endoscope were selected to participate in the training course from February 2018 to February 2019. The training adopted four-tiered mode and 7 days per session. The assessment was conducted after the training, and the satisfaction questionnaires were surveyed. The scope-forward time for finding the duodenal papilla and the evaluation of technique operation were compared respectively before and after the training.Results: All the trainees implemented the training and can operate duodenoscope skillfully. Compared with the pre-training,the trainees’average scope-forward time was significantly decreased (P<0.05) and the operation technique was significantly improved (P<0.05) after the training.Conclusion: The application of domestic pig for ERCP simulation training can simulate the real operation condition in the human body and provide more hands-on opportunities. Through short-term and high-intensity training, the trainees can master the basic ERCP technique quickly, thus realizing the goal of rapid talent growth.
