Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of a suction connecting tube combined with gastroscopy visual blood clot removal device in blood clot removal surgery for patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Methods The clinical data of 18 patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding treated in the author’s hospital from January 2023 to June 2024 were retrospectively analyzed. During the operation, a suction connecting tube combined with gastroscopy device was used to remove blood and blood clots from the digestive tract, and the treatment effect was observed. Results The operating time of the device for 18 patients ranged from 4 to 16 minutes, with an average of 8.2±3.1 minutes. The clearance of blood clots and total blood volume is 120 to 500ml, with an average of 221.1 ± 97.1ml. 17 patients completed the removal of blood and blood clots at one time, and effectively received hemostatic treatment, with a success rate of 94.4%; A patient with gastric cancer and bleeding, Endoscopic treatment was unable to stop the bleeding, and subsequent surgical treatment was performed. All patients did not experience serious complications. Conclusion The suction connecting tube combined with gastroscopy visual blood clot removal device can efficiently remove blood clots and blood in the digestive tract, greatly improve the field of view, and increase the success rate of hemostasis. It has high clinical value and is worthy of promotion and application.
